Free for new teachers · no login · no student data

Your first 90 days, one week at a time.

The things nobody tells first-year teachers until it's too late, in the order you'll need them. Each one has a one-line why, a tiny how and, where it helps, the actual words to say.

Sets which week you're in, so items show as "this week" or "overdue".
Your progress

Your school's calendar won't match ours exactly. Move any item to a different week, or add your own.

My school

Every school runs on its own acronyms, systems and go-to people. Write them down once here so you stop asking twice. Colleague names are fine; no student names.

District leaders and mentor coordinators: a version of this tool with your district's systems, acronyms, calendar and contacts pre-filled for every new hire is available. Ask Brian about a district version.

Who to ask

Ask your counselor or administrator. Write the steps, not any student details.
One per line, for example "PLC = professional learning community: Tuesday 3:30, room 204".

Mentors and coaches: send this to your new teacher

Fill in "My school" above with your building's systems and people, then send it. Your new teacher opens the link and gets a map with your school already filled in. Only the "My school" fields and start date go in the link; no checklist, no notes, no student info.

Just email them the tool

Print, back up, restore

Print the whole map with your school info and every script, to keep in your planner. Your checks and notes live only in this browser, so download a backup now and then.

Everything you check or type stays in this browser on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere. Please don't enter student names or private details.

Know a first-year teacher who's drowning quietly?

Send them this. It's free, there's no login, and it gives them the words for the parent calls, IEP meetings and conferences nobody walked them through.
