Free for teachers · one board or projector · no student devices · no student data

Five-minute class games where thinking wins, not the fastest thumbs.

A new three-clue mystery every day, and an estimation round with clues to buy. Teams talk, write their answer on paper or a whiteboard, and hold it up. You run it all from one screen. Nobody needs a phone, a Chromebook or a login.

Game 1 · about 5 minutes

Five-Minute Mystery

Three clues, hardest first. Teams commit to an answer after every clue. Changing your mind is allowed, but the points go to teams that were right early.

Game 2 · about 6 minutes

Estimate Arena

Teams estimate a real quantity, spend tokens on clues, and defend their assumptions. Closest number scores, and you can award a bonus for the best reasoning.

Your teams

Groups of 3 to 5 work best. Each team gets a color and a shape so it's easy to spot from the back of the room.

How many teams?
Team names
Fun names, not student names. Changing the number of teams starts fresh scores.

On the board or projector, tap Full screen or press F. Tap the buttons on the board itself, or use your laptop as the remote: every button has a key, and a presentation clicker moves to the next step.

Bigger text and buttons for a large touch board read from the back of the room.

How it works

Rotating roles, so one kid can't run it

Students number off 1 to 4 at their table once. The screen shows who does what each round, and it rotates every round.

ReaderReads the clue to the team out loud.
SkepticAsks "What else could it be?" before the team commits.
ScribeWrites the team's answer and holds it up.
SpeakerExplains the team's thinking if you call on them.

Seats 5 and 6 are second skeptics.

Two winners every round

  • Who won the round: points for being right (Mystery) or close (Estimate). No points for speed, ever.
  • Who reasoned best: you tap the team that used the clues best, changed its mind for a good reason, or stated the smartest assumption. It shows up as a star, separate from points.
  • No stealing, no random swaps, no luck. The team that thinks best can always win.

All the games

Today's picks come from this library. Play any of them any day; only today's mystery counts toward the class streak.

Write your own mystery (from this week's unit)

Write clue 1 so only a team that really knows the topic gets it. Clue 3 should be close to a giveaway. Saved on this device; send it to colleagues with a link.

Separate with semicolons.

Your work stays on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere. Don't enter student names or private details. Export is your backup, and it moves your mysteries and streaks to another computer.

Your students will ask for this tomorrow. So will the teacher next door.

Know a teacher whose class begs for Blooket but who can't hand out devices? Send them this. It's free, there's no account, it runs from one board or projector, and there's no student data in it, so nobody has to clear it with IT.

Your link is personal. When 2 teachers sign up with it, you all unlock extra mystery packs.
